The Legacy Project:
Capturing Judson College on Canvas

The Legacy Project is a commemorative effort to honor the heritage and legacy of Judson College. Founded in Marion, Alabama, the College will celebrate it’s 175th academic year this Fall 2013/Spring 2014. To honor this special anniversary, a series of paintings will be created by alumna, Cat Pope, and a special exhibition will take place on campus in tandem with J-Day festivities in April 2014. The works in the series are available for purchase.

THE EXHIBITION:
On campus from March 4th – April 5th, 2014
Marian Acree Tucker Hall, Judson College
302 Bibb Street, Marion, AL 36545

From the College:

“With the theme, Light and Truth, From Generation to Generation, Judson will celebrate her 175th anniversary during academic year 2013-14. This year also marks the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Ann and Adoniram Judson in Burma (Myanmar) and the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement—an era of struggle in which justice and truth were sought. In this special year, Judson recognizes the intersection of three anniversaries. In so doing, we reflect upon extraordinary moments that have forever changed lives and look toward a future undergirded by Lux et Veritas—light and truth.”
